The configuration screen holds all configurable settings of the ICB program.  Press the “Close” key to save the settings. Press the  “Revert settings”  key to bring all settings back to the state they were in before you opened the Configuration window.
Explaination:

  • Network Interface to monitor
This box lists all the network interfaces of your system, including the PPP RAS adapter. A network interface can be a fysical Network card inserted in your computer or a Microsoft network client, such as the PPP dialup/dialin client. Select “All” to monitor all the interfaces
  • 1 Kilobit is, 1000 bits or 1024 bits.
Traditionally, one Kilobit is 1000 bytes if we talk about digital communications data. Others like to use 1024 bits as a measure for 1 Kilobyte., as it is with computer memory data.
  • Averaging Algorithm
The 3 pole algorithm uses three averages of three parts of the collected data to calculate one global average. The Mid range algorithm uses only 25% in the middle segment of the collected data for calculating averages and the Full range uses all collected data to calculate an average. which one to choose it to you, but we advise the 3-pole algorithm for normal TCP/IP network traffic.. Use the full range algorithm only for streaming media  traffic and the Mid range for combinations of both.
  • URL for Generate Mode
This URL will be requested continuously if ICb is started in ‘Generate’ mode. Enter the URL (web address) of a binary file; either an image or a program file. For example enter:
    http://216.34.69.102/sku/g1-032200_Xoom_404/dnl/netsonic.exe (this really works)
or http://www.mysite.com/logo.gif  (this is just an example). The larger the file is, the better it suits ICB. Just entering a page URL will not generate much traffic.
Remark: using the Generate Mode will increase the traffic at the server’s side, so make sure to enter a URL of a file that’s owned by you (resides on your  webpage) or ask permission from the URL’s owner to use the URL for this purpose!
  • Connect through proxy server
Check this box if you need to access the Internet through a proxy server.
If you are not sure what to enter, contact your system administrator or leave this filed unchecked.
  • Proxy server address or hostname, and Port
Enter the IP address or hostname of the Proxy server in your network. Also enter the port of the Proxy server. If you are not sure what to enter, contact your system administrator.
  • Auto-run ICB at Windows session startup
Check this box if you want to start ICB every time your start Windows™, or a user logs on (Windows NT™).
  • Start ICB in Active mode
If you start ICB, or if ICB is started automatically, the program will directly start analysing if you check this box.
  • Keep ICB Main Window on top
This will prevent other programs to draw their window over ICB’s. The ICB window will stay visible on top of all other windows if you check this box.
